Gospel Choir

The ASU Gospel Choir is a mixed-voice ensemble devoted to the unique repertory of Gospel music in the United States, both past and present. Singers join for a variety of reasons: to celebrate connection, to sing music central to the American experience, and some for religious expression. People of all faiths and backgrounds sing in this group. We are a tight-knit, supportive community that cares deeply about the music and what it means. Students of all majors and members of the community are welcome to sing in the Gospel Choir, which includes a smaller, more specialized ensemble for people who wish to devote more time to perfecting their craft, and a larger group for those who just love to sing. Hearings to determine your best voice placement take place at the beginning of each semester

Joining: New and returning members submit a 1- 2 minute YouTube Video of themselves singing a gospel song, hymn, or contemporary worship song of their choice at the beginning of each semester via this survey link.

The purpose of this hearing is to determine the most appropriate voice part and placement for you within the choir. Email Nathan De’Shon Myers with any additional questions.
